Head To Toe Healing

Reflexology is generally relaxing and may help alleviate stress. The theory behind reflexology is that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body. Pressure applied to the foot is believed to bring relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body.

Although reflexology is not used to diagnose or cure disease, millions of people around the world use it to complement other treatments when addressing conditions like anxiety, asthma, cancer treatment, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, headaches, kidney function, PMS, and sinusitis.

If the client has other symptoms that present in the same area of the body that the reflexologist has identified as holding stress or tension, then the client should seek the advice of a doctor for a diagnosis. Reflexologists are not licensed health care providers and hence and not legally qualified to diagnose.

Avoid Alcohol

This is an extremely important substance to avoid after a treatment. Alcohol has diuretic effects, impairs judgment, and can undo the benefits reaped from treatment. Try to avoid alcohol and smoking for up to 24 hours, as the effects are intensified post-treatment.

Reflexology aims to return the body to its natural state of wellbeing and balance and a big element of it is to eliminate toxins from the body. Due to this after a reflexology treatment you could feel tired, sweaty and in certain cases even experience diarrhoea as your body eliminates toxins from your body.

For those new to reflexology, weekly sessions for four to six weeks is a good start, after which biweekly or monthly visits should be sufficient for overall improved well-being.

Many studies revealed that foot reflexology could reduce pain and psychological distress like depression and anxiety. This body work relieves symptoms of depression as it stimulates particular pressure points/nerve endings in the hands and feet.

Energy treatments are aimed at healing imbalances in the energy fields in and around the body.

Energy healing is a holistic practice that activates the body's subtle energy systems to remove blocks. By breaking through these energetic blocks, the body's inherent ability to heal itself is stimulated.

You may experience the energy in the form of sensations like heat, tingling or pulsing where the Reiki practitioner has placed their hands. Sometimes, people feel sensations moving throughout the body, while other people do not perceive any change at all.

Reiki can be performed by holding the hands on or off the body if required. This decision is made by the client

Yes - If you are stressed, anxious or physically drained, an energy healing session can help you relax and feel more balanced. And if you're already feeling good, it's always possible to feel a little better.

After discussing your health concerns I will ask general questions to establish the areas to be worked on or if there are any conditions to be addressed. It is important to list allergies so I am aware if a different oil is required in the session.

Make yourself comfortable. If I want you to adjust your position, I will either move you or I will ask you to move. Otherwise, change your position at anytime to make yourself more comfortable.

Many people close their eyes and relax completely during a session; others prefer to talk. It's up to you. It is your massage, and whatever feels natural to you is the best way to relax.
